Engorgement Vibes 😩

Engorgement is no joke! #TheRealitiesOfBreastfeeding So I'm up in the middle of the night of course ready to pump. Anyway I'm super engorged, so of course I'm thinking milk will come right away. WRONG!!! 😳 I had been pumping for over an hour and 1 breast did not want to let any milk out. I was totally having an are you kidding me moment. This was so frustrating! However I was in to much pain to be mad. I mean on the bright side I had milk in there right? After a couple of hours and still super engorged relief finally arrived (thanks to a wonderful nurse 😘) So here's my tip to you'll

When your super engorged or engorged period

1. WARM COMPRESS!!!  Take warm wet washcloths and place them over your breast. Heat moves milk :)
2. MASSAGE MASSAGE MASSAGE omg the pain of it all. If your super engorged like i was then this will slightly hurt. Buttttt you have to do it
3. DON'T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE listen to your body. When you feel you need to pump which is usually every 3-4 hours, then pump.

I can laugh about this now that it's over but she as in me was not during the process

Happy feeding/pumping

Good Vibes All Day 💜

  1. Oh, those days... I remember the relief from hot showers & nursing 24/7. Do you have Twitter? I'd love to follow you!

New Year, New Changes

Hey everyone! I'm back!!! New Year lots of things going on and the best part is more blogging!!! I'm very excited to really get my blog up and going this year.  I'll be mainly focusing on diet, mommy managing and of course TV! (Who doesn't love a good show) So with that being said, a new lifestyle change has happened.  I'm officially VEGAN (omg)  I've been a vegetarian for over five years and the change was awesome.  Becoming a vegan was prompted by giving birth to an amazing daughter.  Postpartum made me feel like I wanted a change for my daughter, a healthier change.  Thus the transition began.

So in the beginning giving up dairy was extremely difficult (omg) I missed it so much, but pizza (of course) was what I craved the most.  It was like I couldn't shake it.  I began to look for alternatives to my usual dominoes fix.  Side bar for those who are in the UK Pizza Hut now offers vegan pizza.  Anyway my new favorite pizza friends is Farmers Tomato Pie by …

Ripple Kids Milk

😋 I had the opportunity to try and review a new product on the market by Ripple Kids.  So its essentially Pea Milk.  I know your reading this and thinking Pea Milk really? I know I thought the same thing too.  But it was amazing!!!!

So first off, I stop eating dairy a while ago.  Needless to say I've been a search for a variety of dairy free products.  I hosted a picnic to try Ripple Kids with other mama's and it was greatly reviewed.  I personally loved that it didn't taste like "vegetable milk" I actually thought I was drinking a milk shake.  It wasn't super sweet and it wasn't bitter it was just right.

I'm eager to try it in different recipes, or in my tea or cereal.  This is a big deal considering that I didn't like dairy milk when I was eating dairy products, but I would totally use Ripple Kids milk on a daily basis.

If the LO is anything like her mama then this milk is here to stay in our family!!! I encourage you'll to try it.
